A Rainy Day at Home with The Hood Family | Northeast Georgia Photographer
I grew up with these fine people, and was so excited when they called about a casual shoot at home over the holidays. I had not laid eyes on them for many years, and it was just fantastic. The morning of our shoot was very wet and rainy. Normally we might reschedule, and try to get Mother Nature to cooperate. However, since everyone was only home for the holidays for a limited amount of time we decided to be adventurous, and roll with it. When shooting at home I actually like a rainy shoot sometimes. I can get my family to play with their umbrellas and rain boots , and I can find good cover for myself(and more importantly my gear). Rainy days usually come with beautiful even light too so it can be fabulous if you approach it the right way. We had a couple of little guys for this portrait session so we kept things loose and fun for them. I love the casual fun of the final product.

This cute crew was definitely worth the rainy trip up from Atlanta to the beautiful mountains of northeast Georgia. It was such a fun flashback to spend time with them. 🙂
