This sweet couple got in touch with me to photograph the new member of their growing family. This adorable little newborn was a perfect little model. Every newborn photo session is different. Sometimes it’s cute and prop driven. Sometimes it’s classic portrait work. Sometimes it’s lifestyle photojournalistic. Sometimes it’s a bit of all of it. I try to let the energy of the new parents and the newborn’s new home guide me. The age of a little newborn is a determining factor as well. A session with a baby that is 6 or 7 days old will be dramatically different from one with a baby that is 3 weeks old. It’s truly amazing how fast newborns change from day to day. You blink, and you miss a whole new thing. The newborn stages pass by so very quickly, and that is exactly why it’s so important to capture this precious time. 🙂
When I photograph a family portrait session I NEVER forget the 4-legged members of the family! 🙂
