High School Senior Portraits | Clarkesville, GA | Decatur, GA Wedding Photographer
I cannot tell you how lovely this young gal is. She was a complete delight to work with, and just really COOL! I always enjoy meeting a high school senior for their senior portraits, and she was no exception. I jumped up to northeast Georgia, Clarkesville to be exact, for this senior portrait session. I have a ton of portrait clients in northeast Georgia, and it’s a special treat everytime I get to head up to what I think is the prettiest part of the state. Maybe I’m a little biased. I grew up in Tallulah Falls. No metropolis, but so gorgeous it may as well be a Wordsworth poem. ;) This little gal and I had a great portrait session together. I hope I’ll get her in front of my lens again some day!
Love that we got some great portraits with her best friend too. :)
Cowboy boots, back of a truck, Habersham County tag…….perfect! :)
I love getting to meet my high school seniors for their senior portraits. It’s my pleasure to meet these awesome young people! I hope they ALL call me when they get married, throw an amazing party, or have children. I want to catch those moments in front of my lens too! :)
Northeast Georgia Senior Portraits | Clarkesville, Georgia | Decatur, Georgia Photographer
I have had the pleasure to photograph this GORGEOUS girl before, and I was so thrilled when it came time for her senior portraits. I drove up to the Clarkesville/Turnerville area from Decatur to take advantage of the beautiful green spaces. Being a photographer that photographs portrait sessions often in northeast Georgia always makes me feel lucky. It’s truly a beautiful area. We had a fantastic shoot together. Senior portrait sessions are always a total blast! It was great to catch up with this gal. She’s as lovely to be around as she is to look at!
This pretty gal is a fantastic dancer. Absolutely HAD to play with her shoes. Senior portraits should showcase a young person’s talents, and interests.
Cheers to the fabulous young lady! I heard she just landed an awesome scholarship. No surprise here. :)
Senior Portraits | Decatur, Georgia Photographer in Clarkesville, Georgia
I could not LOVE photographing senior portraits more if I tried. It’s such a pleasure to spend an afternoon with a young person that is about to head out into the big world. I love to hear their plans, their lack of plans, their dreams, their ideas. It’s also nice to keep your own spirit young, and make sure that you still know what is actually ‘cool’. I’ve never had a problem staying young at heart, but a little infusion of youthful energy never hurts! ;) For this Clarkesville, Georgia senior portrait session I headed up to northeast Georgia to meet this handsome young guy. I really enjoyed getting to know him for a couple of hours. Senior portraits are really all about capturing who this young person is right now. I think we worked well together to get the different sides of his personality captured.
This Jeep was NO joke! It was also a perfect prop for the day!
Cheers to capturing the moment! If you have a rising senior in high school, and it’s time to hire a portrait photographer…….I’d love to talk to you! All senior portrait sessions are custom, and include EVERYTHING you could ever need. Every high school student is perfectly unique, and their senior portraits should be too. Photo By Gannon is based in Decatur, Georgia. However I photograph my portrait clients from Clarkesville to Savannah, and beyond so reach out. We’ll plan out a senior portrait session that will help you remember this special time for a lifetime. :)
Northeast Georgia Portrait Photographer | Family Portraits | Turnerville, Georgia
This family portrait session in northeast Georgia was so much fun! I had this GORGEOUS farm property to work with, a family full of personality, and we had a blast with it. I can’t wait to work with this group again. I have a ton of fabulous clients all around northeast Georgia, and it’s always fabulous to have a portrait session up there in the fresh air. For this I drove from my home base in Decatur, Georgia to Turnerville, Georgia. Turnerville is a tiny little spot in between Clarkesville and Tallulah Falls.
How cute are these newly engaged love birds?
Being a family portrait photographer takes me all over Georgia. I’m all about shaking it up in new locations. I love that one day I’m scouting for an industrial look in Atlanta, and the next I’m finding something rustic in Habersham county. Variety ’tis the spice of life, and it suites me just fine! If too much time has gone by since your last family portrait, let’s talk! Every photo session is unique, and tailored to YOU.
The Ruins at Kellum Valley Farms Wedding | Cleveland, Georgia | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
Sometimes in life everything falls into place in a seemless fashion. This Kellum Valley Farms wedding was the perfect example of this. Kellum Farms is tucked into the rolling mountains of Cleveland, Georgia. Cleveland is a tiny town in northeast Georgia. Kellum Farms is remarkable. Right down to the sweet-faced farm dog this place has a little magic up it’s sleeve. The grounds are peppered with old farm buildings, rustic signage, and stone ruins. It was a dream to work here. The cherry on top was the staff. Everyone was so helpful and kind. It was just a feel-good kind of place………Be sure to look for this wedding when it graces the pages of The Atlantan Bride in October.

What always makes my weddings so fantastic is my awesome clients. I really have the best! It’s beyond amazing to spend those hours leading up to the big moment with my bride and grooms. This young couple was absolutely glowing with excitement, and it was intoxicating to be around.

Brooch Bouquets! I’m loving these this year. What a fun way to add some creative sparkle to your bouquet.

This gorgeous gown was the THIRD one that was purchased. It was perfect. It was also purchased by the groom as a surprise to his sweet bride. I love something that steps outside of tradition a bit. It makes things feel extra special to me.

I loved that this wedding party donned Toms during the festivities. It worked perfectly, and looked really fabulous. Who wants to teeter on stilettos in the grass anyway?

CUTE IDEA ALERT: This program had a little couple-centric quiz on the back with a golf pencil attached. It was the perfect activity for the guests as they arrived to the ceremony site. Later guests left their quizes behind for the couple. I thought it would be fun to read through those after the wedding.

I was OBsessed with this cake! It was covered with perfectly whimsical mushrooms, leaves, and acorns. It was cute and sophisticated all at once. This creative wedding cake is the creation of Cynthia Taggart of Kellum Valley Farms, and I think it’s brilliant!

This wedding photographer adores a southern wedding with sun-soaked backdrops like this one.

How cute are these?

I’d say that The Ruins at Kellum Valley Farms knows how to do amient lighting. Everything twinkled and glowed after the sun went down. It was lovely. Don’t forget to check out The Atlantan Bride in October! Photo By Gannon is so excited to hit the pages.
P.S. Who’s shooting YOUR wedding?
Atlanta Newborn Portraits | Clarkesville, Georgia
For this recent newborn session I headed up to northeast Georgia’s Clarkesville. I always enjoy photographing weddings and portrait sessions in northeast Georgia as it’s stunning up there. Also, I grew up in Tallulah Falls so perhaps I have a little of that mountain air in my DNA. This beautiful new mother has been a marvelously substantial part of my life for 27 years so this session was of particular importance for me.

The biggest gift of being a newborn photographer is to be around the new and wonderful love. There is nothing quite like it.

I feel so blessed to have had this wonderful woman in my life all of these years, and to watch her turn into a beautiful mother. I’m already in love with this little guy, and have a feeling there will be many photo sessions to come.
If you are expecting a new arrival to your family I would absolute love to capture that special time with you.
Northeast Georgia | Pregnancy Photography | Decatur, Georgia Wedding Photographer
This recent portrait session was special as the lovely mother-to-be happens to be my best friend of about 27 years. Pregnancy photography is always fantastic. In the opinion of this photographer, a woman that is expecting is one of the most beautiful things on the planet.

To photograph one’s best friend of SO many years while she is expecting her first born is pretty fabulous. I can’t wait to meet this little newborn in a short while!

Cheers to a beautiful, lovely, and truly special mommy-to-be.
XO
Engagement Photos | Tallulah Falls, Georgia | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
For this recent engagement portrait session I headed up to Tallulah Falls, Georgia. I LOVE to get up to the mountains, and I actually grew up a stone’s throw from the gorge. If you’ve never made the drive up to this part of Georgia you are missing out on something stunning. It’s also fantastic to work in the area because I know it like the back of my hand. I am always looking for new locations, and going out on scouting trips, but it’s nice to hit one that I am intimately acquainted with.

I’ll be photographing this adorable couple’s destination wedding this June in Tennessee. I know that it is going to be wonderfully creative, and showcase their fun-loving personalities.

When I photograph a session in a rural setting it’s all about capturing the beautiful textures that these locations reveal. I’m always drawn to the tall rustling grasses, or the old barn door with paint chips crawling down the front of it. A moss covered stone or fence that has nearly fallen over. The weathered facades of the country are endlessly beautiful to me.

When she says ‘YES‘ give me a shout. Photo By Gannon wants to be a part of the big day!
Northeast Georgia Family Portrait Session | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
For this family portrait session I jumped in the car and travelled up to northeast Georgia. I grew up in Tallulah Falls and Demorest so I always enjoy working in the area. There is nothing like driving up from Atlanta, and seeing the gentle, rolling mountains. I would consider myself a city girl with a mountain vista in my DNA.
At any rate, I have worked with this awesome family before. They are entirely lovable! We worked right down the street from their gorgeous mountain home, and caught some precious moments. Love working with these guys!

How ridiculously cute are these little guys?

Photo By Gannon is looking forward to the spring portrait season of 2012. Will I see you in front of my lens this spring? Let’s talk!
Family Portrait Session | Holiday Portraits | Northeast Georgia Photographer

During the busy fall portrait season I was so happy to have this adorable little family in front of my lens. This beautiful new mother is a dear friend from high school.
We met up on a gorgeous fall afternoon in Clarkesville, Georgia. We made good use of the awesome light, and pretty fall color.

I love these portraits, and this sweet family.
