Murrells Inlet, South Carolina Destination Wedding | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
For this country-chic destination wedding I left Atlanta, and headed up to the low country of South Carolina. The wedding took place in Murrells Inlet, which is in between Myrtle Beach and Charleston, South Carolina. It’s a beautiful area. Miles of beautiful beach, and endless channels and marshes lined with romantic oak trees dressed in spanish moss. I have always had a thing for spanish moss. It’s just one of the most lovely looking things, isn’t it? :) This awesome couple reside in Mississippi, and met up with all of their family and friends on the South Carolina beach for a few days before the big day. That’s part of the fun of a destination wedding. You can turn it into a fabulous vacation. I had so much fun with this group, and think that we got some AMAZING images. It recently was published in Premier Bride Mississippi. Hope you enjoy!
It’s always a treat to be published. :) This pretty Wachesaw Plantation wedding looked great on the pages of Premier Bride.
This beautiful sunset image says it all. THIS is why you plan a destination wedding in a place like Charleston or Murrells Inlet South Carolina. Just beautiful!
I always love to be around first thing in the morn with my bride. That way I can get all of the ‘getting ready’ fun, and take some time with all of the little details of the day. Rings, and Flowers, and Shoes…Oh My! :)
The bride found these bridesmaid dresses on Etsy. :)
The venue, Wachesaw Plantation was a dream for a photographer. A gorgeous country club nestled in the trees, sitting right on the Waccamaw River.
The ceremony at Wachesaw Plantation took place outside right on the bank of the river. It was really beautiful.
The reception was ablaze with candles. I really dig any ambient light, but the large collections of candles was extra fabulous. I thought the use of old bottles in different shades of green was beautiful.
Are you planning a destination wedding? Photo By Gannon is always ready to hit the road or jump on a plane. Whether you’re planning a wedding in Charleston, South Carolina or Santa Barbara, California I’d love to be a part of it! :)
Engagement Photos | Decatur, Georgia | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
This recent engagement portrait session took place in Decatur, Georgia. We used a few locations in the area. I’m a big fan of giving my clients a lot of options!

Engagement photos are the perfect session for me. It’s a great time for me to get to know my couples better, and let them get to know me. You want to have a great relationship with your photographer. Why? On your wedding day your photographer will be around you more than any other person in many cases. My wedding shoots are 14 hours many times. One of my favorite compliments is when a couple tell me how ‘cool’ I was to have around, while being completely professional. I love that. I want my couples to feel like I am their right hand on the big day. After shooting hundreds(about 600) of weddings I pass along my experience just as much as my artistry.

I’ll be photographing this couple’s big day this September in South Carolina. It should be a fabulous event!

I cannot wait to photograph these two on their wedding day at beautiful Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
Atlanta Wedding Photographer|Rock Hill South Carolina Wedding

As a wedding photographer based in Atlanta I always enjoy traveling around the southeast. I see a bit of it all. I have photographed a lot of venues, and seen a lot of different types of events. In fact, I have seen about 650 of them. This couple had the most wonderfully relaxed wedding, which was held at their Rock Hill, South Carolina home. Don’t be fooled by the word relaxed! This bride brought her vision to life with her details, and did it with real elegance. Everywhere one looked there was a unique twist on the norm to be found. A picnic basket turned card table, mason jar beer mugs, crayons on a paper covered table, antique napkins, and mismatched silver…..The vibe of the wedding was that of a southern garden party with casual elegance.

The bride got her day started at Vogue Salon and Spa. After the perfect ‘do’ was achieved, she headed to the ceremony site. It was a team effort with many helpful hands to transform the couple’s backyard into a lawn venue. Some ominous weather reports had us worried, but Mother Nature smiled on us. The ceremony took place in front of the most gigantic and gorgeous gathering of azaleas that I have ever seen. These things must have been planted a hundred years ago! The couple had a fabulous time with their guests, dancing to live music, with a BBQ going, s’mores and horseshoes to boot.

Cheers to a creative and intimate event!
Are you getting married in the Charleston? Florida? New York? How about the Bahamas? I cannot wait to travel to photograph your wedding!
