This was just a magical day.  It was the first weekend of fall.  Autumn came out of the gate with a bluebird sky, and golden light.  I met my bride and all of the ladies at The Evergreen Marriott, located at the foot of Stone Mountain.  I like to hang out with my bride while she and the ladies get glammed up.  Not only do I get some fantastic photos, but I can get a feel for the group.

This beautiful wedding was my first time at Villa Serena.  This place is GORGEOUS, romantic, and classic.  The Italian white stucco facade is impressive, and set on a lush lake property.  The blue sky was the perfect backdrop on this fall afternoon.

There were too many things to name that I loved about this wedding, but these two love birds were my favorite part.  They were a blast to have in front of my lens all day.

Engagement portrait sessions are one of my absolute favorite things to photograph.  Not only do I get to know my clients a little better before the big day, but they get to know me.  Anyone will tell you that your wedding photographer will be by your side on your wedding day more than any other vendor.  You want to know them.  You want to be able to ‘chill’ with them by your side.  One of my all time favorite complements is when a couple tells me how fun I was to hang out with on the big day, and that I really put them at ease.  While I am running around creating images that you will cherish for a lifetime, I also want to be able to share some laughs with you.    For this recent session I met my couple at Piedmont Park….with their sweet dog Abbie.  It was the first week of October, and we strolled around and enjoyed the amazing autumnal weather.  I am really looking forward to their wedding day this spring.

I love an engagement session!  It’s so fun for me to get to know my couples a little better, and share some laughs and chat about the upcoming wedding.  For this recent session I met the happy clients at the very place where ‘She Said Yes’.  It brought me closer to them to see where that big moment happened.  That big moment happened in adorable Hapeville at The Cafe on The Corner.  We met for all of 20 minutes, as my clients had to get back to work, but I think we made a little magic.

Recently I had the great pleasure to have a senior portrait session with this young beauty.  Having senior pictures made is a milestone for every high school senior out there.  I love working with seniors.  They are so full of life, and overflowing with potential energy.  It’s so fun getting to know them, and hearing about their plans for the future.

When this Atlanta Wedding Photographer photographs a portrait session I like to really capture my subjects.  Sometimes people have real nerves going in the beginning of a session.  This is something I not only understand, but something I know how to break through.  My job is to reach in there and pull out that inner YOU.  There is nothing better than hearing that my subject had a blast in front of my lens.

What a fantastic portrait session this was!  I travelled from Atlanta to Northeast Georgia to help welcome this new little doll to the world with my lens.  It always touches my heart to see new parents.  It’s such a beautiful thing to watch all of that joy, love, and fear all wrapped up in one big emotion.  These two were total naturals with their new little bundle of joy.

This adorable new father is a childhood friend.  We had not seen each other in a decade, so it was really amazing to reconnect.  He definitely had ‘the touch’, and I suspect we might have a blooming daddy’s girl on our hands. 

I was positively in LOVE with all of these cute boots!  I was donning a pair of boots myself, so I felt right at home.

This Atlanta wedding photographer recently had the pleasure to photograph this fantastic couple in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  We had a blast doing a little island hopping, and using nature as our backdrop.  The South Carolina coast as the sun is setting is a beautiful place to be. This cute couple got married two years ago, but never had an engagement portrait session. It was my great pleasure.

Good-Ness!  What a little beauty!  I have had the pleasure to have this mini-model in front of my lens a few times.  It’s always a blast!  I positively love photographing children’s portrait sessions……even more so when they are repeat-offenders.

I recently headed up to work in the mountains of northeast Georgia.  I grew up in the area, so it’s always nice to visit the area, and get out of the city.  I photographed a sweet birthday party while there.  It was a 30th birthday celebration with a 1950′s theme.  The birthday girl loved the vibe of the 50′s, and went all out in the details.  The venue was the Cornelia Community House, a beautiful center built in 1936.  Parked in front was an amazing historic car that is owned by to the father of the birthday girl.  It made for a very fun prop.  I loved to see all of the poodle skirts and saddle oxfords!

The birthday girl wasn’t the only one who dressed the part.  It was a full-blown costume party.  Everyone put on their 50′s get-ups!

The party was complete with competitions in limbo, yo-yo, hula-hooping, and twisting!

I enjoyed photographing all of the cute details at this event, but my favorite thing was the cute cake by EB Cakes of Toccoa, Georgia.

I recently photographed this beautiful mom-to-be at a family baby shower.  She is expecting her first, a little girl, and the shower had sweet touches of pink everywhere. 

How adorable are these little petit fours, from Henri’s?  Each one had a tiny pair of pink booties on top, and trust me when I say they were DELICIOUS!
