The Ruins at Kellum Valley Farms Wedding | Cleveland, Georgia | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
Sometimes in life everything falls into place in a seemless fashion. This Kellum Valley Farms wedding was the perfect example of this. Kellum Farms is tucked into the rolling mountains of Cleveland, Georgia. Cleveland is a tiny town in northeast Georgia. Kellum Farms is remarkable. Right down to the sweet-faced farm dog this place has a little magic up it’s sleeve. The grounds are peppered with old farm buildings, rustic signage, and stone ruins. It was a dream to work here. The cherry on top was the staff. Everyone was so helpful and kind. It was just a feel-good kind of place………Be sure to look for this wedding when it graces the pages of The Atlantan Bride in October.

What always makes my weddings so fantastic is my awesome clients. I really have the best! It’s beyond amazing to spend those hours leading up to the big moment with my bride and grooms. This young couple was absolutely glowing with excitement, and it was intoxicating to be around.

Brooch Bouquets! I’m loving these this year. What a fun way to add some creative sparkle to your bouquet.

This gorgeous gown was the THIRD one that was purchased. It was perfect. It was also purchased by the groom as a surprise to his sweet bride. I love something that steps outside of tradition a bit. It makes things feel extra special to me.

I loved that this wedding party donned Toms during the festivities. It worked perfectly, and looked really fabulous. Who wants to teeter on stilettos in the grass anyway?

CUTE IDEA ALERT: This program had a little couple-centric quiz on the back with a golf pencil attached. It was the perfect activity for the guests as they arrived to the ceremony site. Later guests left their quizes behind for the couple. I thought it would be fun to read through those after the wedding.

I was OBsessed with this cake! It was covered with perfectly whimsical mushrooms, leaves, and acorns. It was cute and sophisticated all at once. This creative wedding cake is the creation of Cynthia Taggart of Kellum Valley Farms, and I think it’s brilliant!

This wedding photographer adores a southern wedding with sun-soaked backdrops like this one.

How cute are these?

I’d say that The Ruins at Kellum Valley Farms knows how to do amient lighting. Everything twinkled and glowed after the sun went down. It was lovely. Don’t forget to check out The Atlantan Bride in October! Photo By Gannon is so excited to hit the pages.
P.S. Who’s shooting YOUR wedding?
Dahlonega Wedding Photography | Decatur, Georgia Photographer
I’m an Atlanta based wedding photographer, but that doesn’t mean I am locked in Atlanta every weekend. I photograph events all over the states, and in EVERY corner of Georgia. One of my favorite areas of Georgia is Dahlonega. It’s wonderfully beautiful, and peppered with fantastic wedding venues. This recent wedding was at The Dahlonega Spa Resort. Have a look!

The bride’s dress was finished by the hands of her talented grandmother. She added details to the dress to make it just what the bride envisioned. It was lovely.

My bride was styled by the fabulous Marissa Kaye. This was a treat as Marissa and I met nearly 10 years ago on a commercial set, and I loved getting to catch up with her. She is wonderful at what she does, and so much fun to have in the room.

I really love these sharp summer suits by Calvin Klein. It’s the perfect answer to the Georgia heat.

The bride’s purple wedding details popped beautifully!

My bride had such a strong vision for her big day. With the help of family and friends, a massive amount of DIY magic occurred. Some of my favorites were the brooch bouquet, hand made veil, and the lace seat covers. Everything was so well done, and I am the definition of ‘detail oriented’ so nothing was lost on me. NO detail is too small.

Dahlonega really does provide such a gorgeous setting for a wedding. It’s definitely an area to look into, especially if you are planning an outdoor event.

The bride’s vintage ring was super unique, and looked perfect on her.

This gorge cake decor is DIY done RIGHT! I love this cascade of antique brooches and purple flowers. Perfection!

Whether you are planning a wedding in Decatur, Dahlonega, or a tropical destination PHOTO BY GANNON has you covered. Let’s talk about the vision for your big day!
Atlanta Wedding Photographer | Norcross Wedding | Flint Hill
This afternoon wedding was sweet and lovely in every way. I met up with my bride and all of her bridesmaids at the home of the bride’s parents early that morning. The girls had all been friends since childhood, and were a tight little group.

I love the handkerchiefs that my bride got for her mom and dad. They made for a really touching gift.

The bride wore some beautiful vintage wedding jewelry.

When we got to Flint Hill I was very impressed. The staff was helpful, and on top of everything. One of my absolute favorite details of the wedding? These gorgeous pink bouquets. They were feminine, classic, and just gorgeous for this afternoon spring wedding. Perfect!

I was literally OBSESSED with these bridesmaid dresses. The bride found them at a popular retail store, and thought they’d make a great dress for the bridesmaids. I agree. I love seeing brides think outside of the box with their details. Sure, she didn’t buy these dresses in a bridal salon, but they are so fabulous. What could be better for a garden wedding in the afternoon? An added bonus: these gals can certainly wear this dress for many future occasions. Can’t beat that!

These two were so fun to have in front of my lens. They have known each other since high school, and you could feel their love and shared history. Even after covering HUNDREDS of weddings, I am always honored to be a part of a couple’s biggest day. The romantic in me smiles all day long!

Flint Hill is tucked away in Norcross, and has so many great spots for a photographer to work with. This wide, southern style porch being a big one!

As a wedding photographer one of the best parts of my job is getting to capture the authentic personality of my couples. The funny little moments that happen in between all the beauty shots are priceless.

Cheers to the happy couple, Flint Hill, spring afternoon weddings, and gorgeous pink wedding details!
Don’t forget to find me on FACEBOOK(www.facebook.com/photobygannon). It’s where you can see my ‘teasers’……..I usually have one up with in 24 hours of a shoot.
Roswell, Georgia Wedding Photographer | Roswell United Methodist Church | Ivy Hall
This sweet spring wedding began at Roswell’s United Methodist Church. The adorable couple had been dating since their teens, and because of this it felt like EVERYONE was family. It was all love, all day!

The couple had a ‘first look’ before the ceremony. Just the two of them……and yours truly of course.

The bride’s dress was classic and elegant with a show stopping train.

You can definitely feel the UGA vibe at this wedding. Chic red and black!

The flowers were done by Boukates Floral Design. They were beautiful, and Katie(the owner) is absolutely professional and fabulous!

Off to the Caribbean they went……..Happily Ever After!
Atlanta Wedding Photographer | Morton’s Restaurant | Downtown Atlanta Spring Wedding
I knew that I was going to enjoy this wedding the first time I met the bride. She was very cool, and totally gorgeous. I was also excited by their location. It’s always a treat to photograph a wedding in downtown Atlanta. There are so many fantastic options! I am always a fan of finding contrast in my work. A bride in a stunning gown set against the gritty facades of an urbanscape is perfection to me.

I LOVE the yellow shoes that the bride wore. It was the perfect pop of color for the last day of March!

Cheers to the happy couple! Cheers to wedding season! Cheers to spring!………And Cheers to hearing from you soon!
Atlanta Wedding Photographer | Che’ne Rouge Wedding | Leap Year Wedding | Hiram, Georgia
This photographer adores a leap year wedding! It makes your anniversary a little mysterious, and it’s super unique. I photograph one of these special weddings every four years. This year I met up with this sweet couple at Che’ne Rouge for an intimate wedding. It was the two of them, an officiant, and Photo By Gannon. I always feel particualarly honored to be a part of this type of wedding. The goal of this shoot was to get gorgeous portraits that this couple can enjoy for a lifetime. I think we hit it on the head…….

I was loving these red bridal shoes. Over the past few years I have seen a pop of color peeking out from bridal gowns more and more. It’s a trend that I really dig. It’s fun and flirty. I actually wore purple shoes for my own wedding.

The bride wasn’t the only one rocking shoes with personality. The handsome groom donned a pair of classic black Chucks.

The bridal room at Che’ne Rouge is really sweet. Tons of natural light flooding in through french doors, fabulous full lenth mirrors, and this parlor couch. It was a great spot to grab a few portraits of my glowing bride before she said her vows.

I couldn’t resist making a little nod to ‘American Gothic’. I absolutely love this one.

This was my very first time photographing a wedding at Che’ne Rouge in Hiram, Georgia. I was impressed with the many backdrops available to me in a small space. We made use of the barn, the bar, the ballroom, and of course the beautiful grandfather tree in the courtyard of the venue.

Cheers to this happy Leap Year couple. I am grateful to have been a part of their special day! Contact me today if you would like to hear more about working together for YOUR big day. I hope to hear from you soon!
Winter Wedding in Dahlonega, Georgia | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
This winter I headed up to Dahlonega, Georgia for this special event. If you’ve not been in that part of the state you should stop in. It’s a gorgeous little mountain town. It was particularly charming during this holiday season wedding. It was aglow with twinkly lights and covered in festive bows. I met up with the bride and the rest of the ladies at The Park Place Hotel to document all the fun as they got camera ready. I always show up early to get all of the getting ready photos. When I photograph a wedding I don’t want to miss a minute. My packages are for unlimited time, and I mean it!

The bride chose a gorgeous wedding dress. It was perfectly romantic with an elegant overlay of lace.

The bride finished off her look with chandelier earrings to add a little bling, and the bridesmaids dresses were all different little black dresses. It was very chic, and they REALLY will wear them again!

Once the ladies were dressed and ready I took my bride out into the mountain air to meet her husband to be in the middle of the square. More and more couples choose to see each other before the actual ceremony. It’s a nice way to get the editorial portraits done before the wedding. A lot of my couples also find it relaxing to be able to spend some time with their sweetheart before the main event.

I thought the tartan plaid that served as an accent for this wedding was great. Very classic and super festive. It wasn’t just for the guys either. Touches were on the table tops, cake, and bridal bouquet.

The ceremony and reception took place at The Dahlonega Market Place, a fantastic venue on the square. It’s a very cool converted space that maintains industrial details with simple elegance.

This Atlanta wedding photographer always loves to drive up to the Georgia mountains to photograph a wedding! If you got engaged recently let’s talk about making your vision come to life. I want to be a part of it with you!
Atlanta Botanical Gardens | Mershon Hall | St. Regis | Atlanta Wedding Photographer
This lovely couple have quite the love story. Married for a short time over 25 years ago, the two never married again. Then one day there was a birthday card from one to the other. Commuication resumed between the two, and before they knew it……in love all over again. This photographer is definitely a romantic, and I love a story of true love reunited.
Their fairytale wedding took place in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The gardens are a marquee venue in metro Atlanta. A green oasis in the middle of Midtown.

I have had the pleasure to photograph weddings in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens quite a few times, but this one was extra special! For the first time ever, the gardens created a festive holiday light display this year. It was a big hit for the entire holiday season. Photo By Gannon was excited to shoot the FIRST wedding under the lights. A neat accolade.

The beautiful bride had a fantastic vision. She took some inspiration from Jane Seymour’s character in ‘Somewhere In Time’, and handed her idea over to the FABULOUS Jennifer Weller Adams of Formal Faces. I have worked with Jennifer before, and she is a true talent and awesome to work with. A period updo like this is NOT easy people! Jennifer made it look like a breeze.

This couple has a sound and immovable christian faith. It was a keystone of their big day.

The bride’s attendants were her two daughters-in-law; wives of the couple’s twin sons. Even better…..both young ladies were expecting their first born at the time of the wedding. A reunited, and growing family. The bride chose a pair of earrings from the Kleinfeld Kollection. Kleinfeld is a name that is synonymous with all things bridal.

I love this shot through the fountain in front of Mershon Hall, where the ceremony took place.

The bride purchased her wedding dress from J.Andrews Bridal in South Atlanta. They did a beautiful job altering the dress. Her dream dress was one that emulated true romance so elegant chiffon sleeves were added with tiny drop pearls.

This photo is one of my favorites from this event. The holiday lights in the Atlanta Botanical Garden gave me some amazing opportunities. Of course, we were also dodging the masses(it was the first Saturday with the lights EVER), but it was totally worth it. It was actually pretty great to have the swirling energy of excited spectators around us. I love the peaceful wash of blue light over my couple in this photo. It’s just really beautiful to me.
After a short cake reception in Mershon Hall I rode in the limo with the family to the St. Regis. Once there I took a few photographs, and left them to have an intimate meal in one of the private dining rooms. I’m sure they enjoyed their FAMILY dinner.

Cheers to second chances, and happy endings! Thanks for stopping by……….would love to be a part of YOUR big day too!
Atlanta Fall Wedding | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

This awesome couple got married this fall at the Atlanta Marriott Gateway. This gorgeous bride designed her day with personal touches including autumnal colors, and some unique nods to her Jamaican heritage. She was glowing all day long next to her handsome new husband. These two were so much fun to work with.

I am so happy to have been a small part of this adorable couple’s big day. I wish them all the best in the world.
Photo By Gannon wants to hear from soon!
Lake Rabun Wedding | Atlanta Wedding Photographer | Fall Wedding in Northeast Georgia
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to work with this sweet couple for their big day. I met up with the bride and the ladies at The Barn Inn. The bed and breakfast is adorable, and the caretakers are fantastic! If you are staying in the Lakemont area, check them out for sure. I hung out with the ladies as they had some lunch, some laughs, and got wedding-ready. I REALLY like the photojournalistic coverage that I get early in the day, and it is a great way to integrate myself into the group so that the bride is completely used to a blitz of photos by the time the ceremony is upon us. I like the inside look I get during this more intimate time.

After everyone was dressed we all headed to a private home on Lake Rabun for the ceremony and reception. Fall details and decor were everywhere. Autumn is probably my favorite time of year. The light is perfection. The colors are gorgeous. And there is that certain something about the air. Being up in northeast Georgia for this wedding all of these things were most apparent.

Cheers to this fabulous couple and their laid back and chic event! Photo By Gannon would like to tell the story of YOUR big day too. Contact me today!
