Sara and Rob are such an awesome couple. I loved planning our engagement session. When I first begin the planning process for an engagement session I pick my couple’s brain a bit. I want to find out if they have any special spots in town? What do they do together? What makes them tick? Well, I knew of the perfect green space for part of the shoot, and when I heard that they are big readers who often spend their weekends in a Barnes and Noble….Bingo! An accommodating manager at a Barnes and Noble (Edgewood to be exact), and we were all set for a fun and authentic shoot.
I love the halo of sapphires in Sara’s engagement ring. So beautiful.
I call downtown Decatur home, so I couldn’t resist bringing my two love birds by the Decatur courthouse for a few images. They both practice law so it seemed fitting, and maybe I’m biased, but downtown Decatur is a photographer’s dream. Not only is it a hip neighborhood, but it’s teeming with textures and colors.
Starbucks in hand, giggling in the aisle of a book store…these two were right at home.
The Decatur, Georgia historic courthouse now serves as a venue for weddings, events, and community activities. It’s the epicenter of downtown Decatur.
