I’ve known these two love birds for a few years, and their sweet little dog. They are such a beautiful couple, and just recently got married. They had a wedding on the beautiful Georgia coast. What a fun engagement session this was!

 
I love this shot!  Engagement sessions are one of my all time favorite things to photograph.  I love getting to know a couple in front of my lens, and love to make the shoot FUN!  So many of my couples tell me that they were nervous or uneasy going into a shoot, but that they had a blast by the end of it.  I love to hear that.  You should have fun with your photographer.  Obviously my top priority is to capture every event or portrait session to perfection, BUT there is a lot more to it than that.  I want to keep my subjects loose.  I want my subjects to have a blast.  I want them to feel like they hung out with a friend for a couple of hours.  Having your photo taken SHOULD NOT be a painful experience if you are in the right hands.  🙂

For most engagement sessions I choose at least a couple of different locations.  I try to find out what kind of ‘look’ my couple has in their vision, and then it’s my job to make it a reality.  There are a ton of locations in town that I use for different sessions, but I’m always scouting for new locations in town.  I like to use several venues to give my couples more options than they ever imagined.  I want every engagement portrait session to be richly diverse, well rounded, and unique for every couple.  I also want it to truly showcase the love of my couple.
