Atlanta Portrait Photographer | Buckhead, Atlanta | Editorial Portraits
This Atlanta portrait session was perfection. Gorgeous sun-filled Buckhead home? Check. Classically beautiful woman? Check. I met this lovely gal in her new townhouse before anything had been moved in. It was to be a classic portrait session. A little wink at Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel. We wanted classic, classic, classic. This beautiful woman was a joy to work with, and she absolutely killed it!
Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE the happy stresses and chaos of the 600 weddings I’ve photographed. I love every portrait session with 10 people looking in different directions. It actually lights me up like nothing else. But, it’s always a creative deep breath to work one on one with a portrait client. There is nothing like the awesome intimacy of being alone with another human being as you try to capture who they are. It involves a whole bag of tricks, and it’s such a rewarding process for me. I’ve always said that there are a few things that make me good at what I do. One of the most important is my intuition, and natural powers of observation. I’m a watcher, and I love it! You know that person that loves sitting in the airport for hours? That’s me!
