Brittany & Stephen’s Marietta Square Engagement Session
For Brittany and Stephen’s Engagement session we went for the always fab Marietta Square, and supplemented with one of my favorite ruins of Georgia. I like to choose at least two locations for my engagement portrait sessions. When I hand over the 200 images from the day I want there to be visual contrast. If I’m photographing with the historic brick that downtown Marietta provides, I’ll want to find an interesting green space to incorporate some natural elements. The ruins are bit of both worlds. I get the wide river and mature trees, AND the haunting architecture of the ruins themselves. Pretty awesome actually. I had a fantastic time with Brittany and Stephen, talking about their big day, and learning all about them as people. I discovered that the groom has a maj love of the movie Ghostbusters. I have the same love affair, and was stoked to hear we had that in common! That is what is so fantastic about an engagement portrait session. I get to really know my couple, and we are all old pals by the wedding day. 🙂
Marietta’s historic square and nearby river beds make it a perfect location for an Atlanta engagement session.
One absolutely cannot photograph an engagement portrait session(or any portrait session for that matter) in historic Marietta, Georgia without showing the fountain a little love. I particularly like this one with my love birds in the afternoon low light.
I loved spending the afternoon with these two cuties. We had such a fabulous little walk around downtown Marietta, and an awesome hike through the woods………a perfect engagement portrait session. 🙂
