Deanna & Ryan’s Decatur, Georgia Engagement Photos
Deanna and Ryan met up with me for their engagement portraits at one of my favorite green spaces, and we took a nice little walk together. That is really what a portrait session with me is all about. I scout just the right location after talking to my clients about the look and feel that they want to go for, and then we take a stroll together. We stop here and there, and chat and laugh, and wedding plan. I want my clients to feel like they are just hanging out with a new friend. 🙂
I told my bride-to-be that she did a fantastic job picking this look. When you are planning your outfits for your engagement portraits, think about where you will be. For this particular session we were going to be in a lot of green spaces. Because of that, you can’t do better than this vibrant pop of fuchsia and smart white pants. She pops big time, which is what I love to see.
I chose this grouping of locations because it gave us lots of lovely green space to work with since I knew that my love birds are outdoorsy types, but it ALSO gave us some major contrast as well. Their wedding venue was Crooked Pines Farm, an awesome pastoral setting in Eatonton, Georgia(about an hour south of Athens) so I knew we’d be getting a lovely rustic feel there. Because of this, I incorporated just a bit of an industrial and urban vibe in there for our engagement session. When you put the engagement session and wedding day photos together it is a marvelous mix of textures and colors.
You’ll see these love birds again soon when I post their amazing Crooked Pines Farm wedding………complete with a corn field!
