Expecting in Downtown Cornelia | Northeast Georgia Photographer
I met up with this beautiful couple in northeast Georgia’s Cornelia. Cornelia is a quaint little town known for friendly faces and The Big Apple Festival. We were there to photograph a very special time as they were expecting their first little one. Maternity sessions feel extra special to me. I like to feel all of the excited/nervous energy that bounces around with expecting parents. It’s such a momentous time in their lives. We took a little walk around the historic area of charming little Cornelia, and then moved to a local green space for a bit. I always try to use two different locations for my portrait sessions so that we get some great contrast.
I’m always on the lookout for a chance for a ‘visual wink’ during a portrait session, especially maternity portrait sessions. If I spy a ‘No Returns’ sign, and have a fun-loving pregnant couple with me, I am SO going to play with that. It’s goofy, and I love it. If I’m giving you 200 images I want lots of different emotions to be captured within our one afternoon together.
