For this recent family portrait session I ventured to the lovely Roswell area. This family had a great big yard, so we worked right at their home. I photograph families in their homes all the time. I always want my subjects to feel at ease, and a shoot at home is always great for that. 🙂
When I photograph a family with children I truly let them be themselves. These kinds of sessions are meant to be organic. I sit back(and sometimes run around a bit) to watch carefully, and capture the little moments that happen along the way. There is gentle direction of course, but I am careful not to over direct. I want to photograph YOU, not some version of the real thing.
