I am always excited when I shoot at The High Museum of Art. As a lifelong artist and art geek it’s pretty fabulous to have alone time in the galleries, and get a sneak peek at the exhibits. For last year’s ‘Go West’ exhibit I photographed two openings. The ‘Go West’ exhibit was complemented by a very parisian exhibit: ‘The Louvre and the Tuileries Garden’. The juxtaposition of the western and parisian art was unexpected, and the contrast made the other shine even more.
Events at The High Museum of Art are always beautiful, and buzzing with energy.
This exhibit was put together beautifully, and I learned quite a lot while shooting it. I found that I knew next to nothing about western/American art before this experience. I’m so happy to have heard all about it….from the horse’s mouth. 😉
