Jennie & Patrick’s Destination Wedding | Waterford, Virginia
Destination weddings are something that I’m lucky to do on a regular basis. Destination weddings are definitely not for everyone, but I find them thrilling and completely inspiring. The travel and logistics of a destination wedding make for stress and extra long days, but it suits me perfectly. Anyone that has ever worked with me knows that I am ALL IN when it comes to work, and it’s what I do best. I was really excited when I booked this Waterford, Virginia wedding. It was set for the fall season, in a fabulous historic venue. Waterford is a gem, an adorable historic village, and a dream location. The Knot ran this lovely wedding recently, and now I’d like to show off some of my own faves from this lovely weekend. 🙂
Moments like this are what charge everything that I do. It’s just the best feeling to capture these kind of images for me.
Destinations like historic Waterford are pretty awesome. How often do you get to photograph a wedding in a 1700’s village? Not often, and the locations for this wedding were beyond cool. The ceremony was in a tiny and gorgeous chapel. The reception was in the old school house. Brilliant!
The chapel in Waterford, Virginia is so charming. It’s tiny and without frills, not even a washroom.
