The Crain Family Getting Together in Cator-Woolford Gardens
I live in Decatur, Georgia, and The Cator-Woolford Gardens in one of my favorite little spots in town. I’ve photographed weddings in the gardens, and many a portrait session. It’s just a sweet little spot. It’s a smaller green space so it works well for me when I have small children involved. I took a nice little walk with these fine people, and we captured a beautiful moment in time.
When I photograph a larger family portrait sessions with multiple families, I always get great shots of the whole group for sure, but I also make sure to break the group into couples and family groups. I want to photograph every possible combo!
This portrait session gets me ready for springtime in Decatur/Atlanta. I am one of those strange types that enjoys the short gray days of winter, but it’s hard to not delight in the spring season when you live in a city like Decatur, Georgia. The trees all seem to be in bloom at once, and the flowers pop up from their long slumber. The air is awash with the smells of new life…….okay now I want to put my flip flops! 😉
