This winter I headed up to Dahlonega, Georgia for this special event.  If you’ve not been in that part of the state you should stop in.  It’s a gorgeous little mountain town.  It was particularly charming during this holiday season wedding.  It was aglow with twinkly lights and covered in festive bows.  I met up with the bride and the rest of the ladies at The Park Place Hotel to document all the fun as they got camera ready.  I always show up early to get all of the getting ready photos.  When I photograph a wedding I don’t want to miss a minute.  My packages are for unlimited time, and I mean it!  🙂

The bride chose a gorgeous wedding dress.  It was perfectly romantic with an elegant overlay of lace.

The bride finished off her look with chandelier earrings to add a little bling, and the bridesmaids dresses were all different little black dresses.  It was very chic, and they REALLY will wear them again!  😉

Once the ladies were dressed and ready I took my bride out into the mountain air to meet her husband to be in the middle of the square.  More and more couples choose to see each other before the actual ceremony.  It’s a nice way to get the editorial portraits done before the wedding.  A lot of my couples also find it relaxing to be able to spend some time with their sweetheart before the main event.

I thought the tartan plaid that served as an accent for this wedding was great.  Very classic and super festive.  It wasn’t just for the guys either.  Touches were on the table tops, cake, and bridal bouquet.

The ceremony and reception took place at The Dahlonega Market Place, a fantastic venue on the square.  It’s a very cool converted space that maintains industrial details with simple elegance.

This Atlanta wedding photographer always loves to drive up to the Georgia mountains to photograph a wedding!  If you got engaged  recently let’s talk about making your vision come to life.  I want to be a part of it with you!  🙂
